Endorsement Quote

This hotel offers it all for active families or those that want to take it a little easier. It’s rare to find a hotel that caters to all kids ages but Martinhal have managed to succeed. My children loved the playground with its zip slides, play structures and large trampoline and I loved the fact that I could relax with a coffee (or wine) whilst keeping an eye overlooking them from the M bar. The decor is a real plus feature- contemporary, stylish and sleek with bleached wood, floor to ceiling glass windows and soft lighting which creates a calm, warm atmosphere. A winning formula of unparalleled facilities for families in a laid-back luxurious setting.

All of the rooms are large and feature super king size beds, huge windows that extend out onto spacious balconies or a terrace. Italian designed bunk beds accommodate the children however interconnecting rooms are also available.

The main restaurant O Terraco serves breakfast and modern Portuguese dishes by night. The breakfast choice is impressive: a hot and continental buffet is on offer including a never-ending supply of fresh, sliced tropical fruit, as well as waffles, pancakes and eggs to order. Intolerances are well catered for with lactose-free dairy milk and yoghurts on offer. The evening a la carte menu serves local seafood and younger diners are treated like adults with a choice of three courses from a special menu (for babies there's freshly made purées with no added salt or sugar). Best of all is the kids’ corner, a toy-filled area where one of the resort’s charming babysitters entertains while parents enjoy their dinner.

Other options are Os Gambozinos, an Italian Trattoria with a selection of pizza, pasta and fresh fish. For snacks, there’s also M-Bar at the Kids Clubhouse, serving homemade ice cream, paninis and smoothies.
