SANI ASTERIAS SUITES/ SANI RESORT

Rating:
Sani Beach Resort has five hotels built in 1,000 acres of coastal woodland and sandy beaches, on the Kassandra peninsular on mainland Greece. At the heart of the resort is Sani Marina, lined with bars and restaurants and filled with beautiful yachts providing families with a safe, relaxing holiday environment where nothing is too far away.

The hotels operate a Dine Around programme, where you can take some of your half/full-board meal allowance in selected restaurants in the marina, which is a fun place to wander around in the evening. The resort has an outdoor theatre space, a children’s playground and various kids clubs for ages from 4 months to 17 years. Older children get a sense of freedom as they can hire bikes and cycle around the resort, as it is totally safe and mostly car-free, and they have their own teen clubhouse with snack bar, as well as lots of indoor and outdoor activities.

The five hotels are very spread out along the beach  (from north to south: Sani Beach, Sani Asterias, Porto Sani,  Sani Dunes, and Sani Club), and all individually designed, and although all are family friendly, they each have a slightly different focus, so you can find one which exactly suits you.

Endorsement Quote

One of our favourite stays at Sani Resort was at Sani Asterias. We had a suite with a little gated garden that led straight to the beach, so we could have  pre breakfast swims without having to get the whole family ready. If young children have daytime naps you can stay in the garden or on the beach and be close enough to hear them.

If you don't like ground floor rooms, upstairs suites have lovely views. The beach can become quite busy in the day, so if that is a concern, the marina suites can be more peaceful with scenic views of the yachts.

Location

Built right on the beach between Sani Beach hotel and Porto Sani, Asterias is the boutique hotel of the group, and sits  the north of the marina.

Waking up and seeing the mirror-like sea right in front of your room is the best holiday treat. There is a central pool, which doesn't seem to get crowded, as most people stay on the beach, and it is only for Asterias guests. Meals are elegant affairs, as big families with younger children tend to stay at Porto Sani, Sani Beach and Sani Club.

You don’t really need to venture out, but if you do, it's only about 30 minutes’ drive (14kms) to nearby Afytos Village with its small streets of shops, bars and restaurants, and a small square where the Greek families sit of an evening and watch their children play.

Only one pool but it is for the exclusive use of Asterias guests, who can also  to use other hotel pools.
