This herb may divide opinions, but the restaurant is a winner with everyone! Featuring Mediterranean dishes, dine al fresco whilst listening to the ocean waves break against the shore.

La Pizza:

Italian food is a safe go-to for most families with little ones. Filling pastas, crispy pizzas and refreshing salads are all made fresh in this modern restaurant. Watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen.

Location

In the south of Croatia, the Sun Gardens sits perched on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Just outside the village of Orašac, the ancient city of Dubrovnik is a little under a 25-minute drive away. Take a taxi or Uber to the Old Town, where you’ll find boutique shops, traditional restaurants and historic sites.

Perfect For

  • Active and sporty families
  • Families wanting luxury, with the option to venture out to Dubrovnik

Pools

If you’re not a fan of pebbles, skip the beach and head to one of the three outdoor pools. One is adults-only, leaving two for families to splash around in. Both are near to bars, so you can grab a cooling ice cream when you get peckish.

Rooms

With 201 rooms, each equipped with either a terrace or balcony, and 207 fully appointed residences, the hotel has spacious options for families. Rooms adopt the aesthetics of the Mediterranean, using blues, greens, and ocean-inspired artwork. Residences are your own home away from home, with a choice of one, two or three bedroom apartments.

Spa & Pampering for Adults

The hotel’s award-winning spa features an 18-metre long lagoon pool, where you can take a break from the sunshine, laying back on underwater loungers. Detox in a natural coal or salt sauna, soothe your skin in solo massage treatments or pair up for pampering in one of the exclusive couples suites.

Spa & Wellbeing for Kids

The Teen Spa offers nourishing facials, relaxing massages or essential nail care for the little ones. Kids between 6 and 13 years old can book in for a manicure or pedicure, while 9-16 year olds get to enjoy the rest.

Sports

The state-of-the-art Sports Centre boasts a sand volleyball court, 5-a-side football pitch, clay tennis courts, and a climbing wall, as well as several other indoor facilities. Badminton, football, volleyball and table tennis facilities are free to use for an hour, but others require a fee.

Things to do in the area

Drive down to Dubrovnik or, during the summer, hop on the hotel boat service that provides a more picturesque route to the city. The small harbour town of Trsteno is just less than 2 miles away and hosts a vibrant arboretum, which featured as a filming location for Game of Thrones.

Room Service

Room service is available. All Club level rooms include the service, featuring an a la carte menu, for an extra charge.
